3.4.1.5 Sludge control, filterability and sliding valve train wear. All grades shall
prevent sliding valve train wear, filter plugging, and sludge deposits. Oil grades 10W,
30, and 40 shall comply with the requirements of Table IX or Table X. Oil grade 15W-40
shall comply with the requirements of Table IX or Table XI. See section 4.3.5 for the
verification test methods.
